HCE Ulsan Campus Becomes a Global Production Hub!

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has signed an agreement for the 'HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Ulsan Campus Advancement Project' with Ulsan City. This project aims to upgrade the operation systems and minimize logistical routes of our primary production hub, the Ulsan Campus, located at 77 Goneul-ro in Ulsan's Dong-gu area (254,800㎡). We plan to invest 1.941 trillion Korean won by June 2025 for this development project.

Through this agreement, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has committed to prioritizing the employment of Ulsan citizens in our workforce and expanding the participation of local companies in contracts to contribute to the activation of the local economy. Ulsan plans to support administrative aspects of the project, including establishing the necessary infrastructure and so on.

Currently, production and assembly functions of construction equipment components, previously dispersed between Factory 1 and Factory 2, are being centralized into Factory 2 to enhance production efficiency. Also, we are extending new production facilities and assembly lines. Furthermore, the construction of office and welfare buildings at the Ulsan Campus is underway, expected to improve work-and-living convenience for employees.

Upon completion of this project, the production capacity of construction equipment within the Ulsan Campus will be increased by approximately 67%, from an annual output of around 9,000 units to over 15,000, thus evolving into a global production hub. Moreover, it is expected to increase the number of employees by more than 600 and annual revenue growth of more than 700 billion Korean won.
